How many children can I care for children in my home before I need a daycare license?
I live in Massachusetts and I can not find a direct answer in this case. I'm looking for something that specifically says you can or can not. I do not know requirements for licensing, I already know. The question is "Do I need a license if I only have two or three children who I am?" Thank all!
If you work as a nanny at home, you are an employee and must pay for SS and fill employment tax. See on IRS.gov to see what to do if we want to help them stay upright. If you have a daycare in your home you need a license from the first child. Parents must obtain the forms to show what you pay your taxes and you need to inspect the house for safety. If you can not do everything to get a real problem when a child is hurt because we have a nice safe or have had access to the kitchen and burned.
